Uganda is ranked 10th in the world and 2nd in Africa, producing about 2 Million bags of coffee annually. Traditionally coffee is commonly chewed during ceremonies to demostrate brotherhood.
The environmentally friendly Coffee House, 1000 Cups is Uganda`s heart and art piece of coffe roasting, brewing and drinking.
A feature business in the BBC World Documentary of the Year 2006, "AFRICA OPEN FOR BUSINESS", it has been described by Lonely Planet tour guide book as "Probably Uganda`s best cafe".
Based on the concept "a cup for every nation" the coffee house sells coffee and coffee recipes from all over the world, either as sit in or packs to go.
A few art pieces, souvenirs and coffee making equipments are also available for sale.
Located in Kampala`s quiet setting and next to Arts and Craft village, it is an ideal stop-over, for relaxation and discovery of Uganda`s heritage.
